PERSONALIZED LASER TREATMENTS IN MENTOR, OHIO
Our laser treatments in Mentor, Ohio are designed to address both preventative skin care and advanced correction. Some patients benefit from a single targeted treatment, while others achieve optimal results through a series or combination of treatments.
Preventative and Corrective Laser Treatments
Laser treatments can be used both preventatively and correctively. Some patients use laser treatments to maintain skin health, stimulate collagen, and address early signs of aging. Others seek laser therapies to improve existing concerns such as pigmentation, scarring, laxity, or redness.
Treatment recommendations are based on where your skin is now and how it may change over time, with a focus on long-term skin health and goals that evolve as your skin does.

OUR APPROACH
Laser treatments are not one-size-fits-all.
At PURA VIDA WELLNESS in Mentor, laser treatments are guided by experience, clinical knowledge, and a skin-first philosophy.
Treatments are performed by licensed medical providers who understand how different skin concerns respond to different wavelengths and depths.
Our goal is to improve skin health, appearance, and function while maintaining skin integrity and long-term results.
EXPERIENCE MATTERS
Laser treatments require more than advanced technology. Results depend on proper assessment, settings, technique, and understanding how different skin types respond to energy-based treatments.
At PURA VIDA WELLNESS, laser treatments are performed by licensed medical providers with advanced training in laser safety and skin physiology. Each treatment is selected and adjusted based on skin type, concern, and treatment area to prioritize safety, effectiveness, and long-term skin health.
LASER CONSULTATION
A consultation with one of our licenced providers is required before booking laser treatments. This allows us to evaluate your skin, review your concerns, and determine which laser or light-based treatment is most appropriate for your goals.
Using advanced imaging technology, we assess what’s happening both on the surface of your skin and below it. This allows us to evaluate hydration, texture, tone, elasticity, congestion patterns, pigment, and early changes that aren’t visible in regular lighting.
During your consultation, we will discuss treatment options, expected outcomes, and recommended treatment plans so you can move forward with confidence.
LASER TREATMENTS FAQ
Alma Hybrid (CO₂ Ablative & Non-Ablative)
A customizable laser treatment that combines ablative and non-ablative technology to address skin texture, scarring, wrinkles, pigmentation, and skin laxity. Allows for deeper resurfacing with controlled downtime while also supporting collagen production.
Pixel Peel (Light CO₂)
A fractional CO₂ laser treatment used to improve skin texture, fine lines, acne scarring, and uneven tone. This lighter resurfacing option refreshes the skin while maintaining a more moderate recovery compared to fully ablative treatments.
Non-Ablative Laser (1570nm)
A collagen-stimulating laser that treats deeper layers of the skin without removing the surface. Commonly used for skin laxity, texture concerns, and acne scarring with minimal downtime.
Dye-VL / IPL
A light-based treatment designed to target red and brown pigment in the skin. Used to improve redness, rosacea, sun damage, pigmentation, broken capillaries, and uneven skin tone.
ClearLift
A non-ablative laser treatment that stimulates collagen without damaging the skin’s surface. Often used for skin laxity, fine lines, texture, and under-eye concerns with little to no downtime.
VascuPen
A targeted vascular laser used to treat visible blood vessels, cherry angiomas, spider veins, and broken capillaries. Designed to precisely treat vascular concerns without affecting surrounding skin.
All laser treatments require a pre-treatment consultation to review your skin, medical history, and timing of recent treatments. This allows us to provide personalized pre- and post-treatment instructions.
On the day of treatment, arrive with clean skin free of makeup, sunscreen, and skincare products. A face-washing station is available if needed.
Please inform your provider if you have a history of cold sores so preventative medication can be prescribed ahead of time.

The number of treatments depends on the concern being treated, the laser used, and how your skin responds. Some concerns improve with a single treatment, while others benefit from a series. This is discussed during your consultation so we can create a plan that makes sense for your goals.
Post-treatment care depends on the laser and your treatment depth. We’ll review your exact aftercare during your consultation and again on treatment day.
Alma Hybrid (CO₂ Ablative / Deeper Resurfacing):
You’ll go home with a post-procedure kit and a step-by-step healing regimen. Expect stricter care during the first week, including barrier support and protecting the treated skin while it heals.
Pixel Peel (Light CO₂):
We’ll recommend specific post-care products to calm the skin and support healing. You may have dryness or rough texture as the skin refreshes.
Non-Ablative (1570nm):
Aftercare is usually simple. We’ll recommend gentle, hydrating products and strict sun protection while collagen remodeling occurs.
Dye-VL / IPL:
Focus is on calming the skin and sun avoidance. Pigmented spots may darken before they flake off, so we’ll guide you on what to use and what to avoid.
ClearLift:
Minimal aftercare is needed, but we still recommend gentle skincare and SPF.
VascuPen:
We’ll review care based on the area treated. Some patients may bruise, and sun protection is important while the skin settles.
Across all lasers, we typically recommend gentle cleansing, hydration, daily SPF, Avoiding sun exposure for 3-4 weeks after treatments is highly recommended, and we’ll tell you exactly when to restart active skincare based on your treatment.
Sun exposure, heat, and active skincare are commonly avoided for a period of time after treatment. Exact restrictions depend on the laser used and will be reviewed with you so you feel confident during healing.
Yes. Laser treatments are often combined with facials, injectables, microneedling, or skincare for more comprehensive results. Timing matters, which is why we plan treatments intentionally rather than stacking them too closely together.
Safety depends on both your skin type and the laser being used. Some laser technologies can be safely used on a wide range of skin tones, while others require more caution.
Our Alma Harmony laser treatments, including Dye-VL / IPL, ClearLift, and VascuPen, can be safely used on many complexions, including darker skin tones, when appropriate settings are used.
Hybrid & CO₂ laser resurfacing is more limited and is not recommended for darker skin types due to an increased risk of pigment changes. This is why a consultation is required, so we can evaluate your skin and select the safest and most effective treatment for you.
Laser treatments may not be appropriate for:
-
Patients who cannot avoid sun exposure for 4–6 weeks before and after treatment
-
Patients who are pregnant or breastfeeding
-
Patients with active autoimmune conditions
-
Patients currently undergoing chemotherapy or radiation
-
Patients taking photosensitizing medications
Certain skin types or conditions may not be suitable for specific lasers. This is why a consultation is required before scheduling any laser treatment, so we can ensure safety and appropriate treatment selection.
